Would 50 modified push-ups a day eventually do anything?

And I understand that once I can easily do the push-ups, I would increase the amount. "Modified" meaning girl push-ups with your knees on the ground. I'm a 15-year old girl in alright shape, but I'd like to build my pectoral muscles because gravity is taking a toll on the 36D's. This would be starting from basically no regular workouts, by the way, and I know that there are other things I can do... Thank you :)
