Why do people hate Bob Dylan?

Is it just a matter of musical preference? Everytime I'm playing Bob Dylan, then my friend or the person who I'm with will say something like "Bob Dylan? Ugh I hate him!" How can you hate Bob Dylan? What's not to like about him?
